The Interrupted Pursuit, Or How Do You Deal with Course Correcting?

You’ve found a GOAL that creates that “burn in the belly” or you’ve even found your LIFE PURPOSE! Fantastic! You are in ACTION, making CHOICES and actually SEEING MOVEMENT towards the FULFILLMENT of your future vision!

Excellent! It feels amazing! You feel powerful!

Then, an OBSTACLE appears along the path. “No problem!” you think. And, indeed, you vanquish it with ease. But then, another obstacle appears, then another and then another just as quickly. Suddenly, your rocket fuel of enthusiasm begins to wain as you spend more time trying to keep all those forces at bay while also trying to stay focused on your slowly fading goal. Your once thrilling future seems to be slowly crushed under the weight of multiple obstacles.

A platitude right now of “Never give up!” ain’t gonna do it!

BUT taking a breath to really see those obstacles may help bring about a COURSE CORRECTION.

Understand a course correction IS NOT DEFEAT OR FAILURE, but just that: a correction of your action on the course you’ve already begun. The course remains the same, but your BEHAVIOR (how you respond and what you do) is corrected.

BY YOUR OWN CHOOSING – BY YOUR OWN HAND – BY CHOICE

You do not become stuck in a negative emotional reaction to seeing, having, and confronting an obstacle. Yes, you look at your emotional reaction to it all, but YOU BEGIN TO CHOOSE in your BEINGNESS (how your choice feels to you) as well as in your DOING (what you actually do in response). This becomes a wonderful challenge for you to step up and into that PERSON OF POWER you’ve always felt inside, but, perhaps, have yet to engage.

Is the above easy? Hell, no! OR, Hell, yes! Your ability to course correct easily or with difficulty depends not only, on how FULFILLING or FAILING to fulfill your GOAL feels to you, but whether you choose to BE in the mental space of resistance or acceptance.

How will you CHOOSE to pilot your journey?

Did this resonate? I’d love to hear your thoughts…
